Been craving some kind of change
Cause the pages of my book, they all look the same
I need a colourful page to tempt a wild eye
Stories of another me, one who dares to push the lines
Cause being scared of my mistakes was the greatest mistake I made

Why am I waiting for a change to come?
Why does it always take a life to learn to live it right?

I'll take the world into my hands
And with these scissors I'll draw a line that goes right through the sands
So in the mirror I'll watch as my hair falls to the tiles
A crooked fringe, a new hairstyle, some corduroy, a broken smile
And it seems like I got my change cause I've got $2 to my name

Some people say I went too far
And I say that's a fair shout
But maybe one of these days
I'll learn to balance it out
